Easter

We had a nice little Easter weekend together this year. On Saturday morning, we went to our apartment complex's Easter egg hunt and party. We had to take a few pictures on our porch first.

With this one, I was unaware that we were supposed to pose -- notice Paul!

So for this one I made sure to strike a pose too.

And this one.

Paul's best pose!

The hunt begins! Paul was a pro.

Paul filled up his basket with eggs.

Afterward, they had games for the kids to play. Paul had so much fun with this, so that after they were all done, he kept coming up to the ladies in charge and asking them if they'd like to play a game.

The apartment complex also provided cupcakes, chips and Capri Suns! Paul had to have some Doritos. He ate a few bites of his cupcake but all of those chips!

One of the ladies have Paul a balloon! He was so happy about this balloon!

After that little party, we went back home long enough to eat some lunch. We then drove 30 minutes to Lenoir City for another hunt. The festivities were held at a city park on the water. It was very pretty! It was such a nice day, too. This hunt was ongoing -- someone was just constantly throwing eggs out for the kids to find. Once Paul had filled his basket to 3/4 full, he announced he was done! We turned the eggs in for a few stickers, pieces of candy and little things.

The best way to hunt eggs!

We went to see the Easter Bunny after the hunt. He was pretty creepy and Paul was not at all sure he wanted to go up there. He asked me if I would go with him and sit on the EB's lap. I was starting to see his point. We reassured him and once it was his turn, he gladly ran up by himself. Paul gave him a hug and then got on his lap. He smiled broadly the whole time. When he got down, Paul gave the EB another hug, two high fives and a fist bump. He ran up to us and said, "You were right, he was nice!" (I don't know what his standards are, as far as we can tell, the EB never spoke.)

After that, which was Paul's first Easter Bunny encounter, we doing a grassy field and played soccer and baseball. Paul also enjoyed a lollipop. We had such a nice day!

On Easter morning, we found that the bunny had dropped off some goodies for Paul! Unfortunately I did not take many pictures that day, so all I've got for you is Paul in his pj's! The EB hid eggs around the house for Paul to find and he enjoyed that. We went to church and then to a park in the afternoon, before enjoying a nice ham dinner at home. We are looking forward to spending future Easters with our families!
