Anyways, I knew I could always buy a costume but I enjoy getting a little crafty and his costume last Halloween went over so well I knew this one would be relatively easy!
Last year we went to the Boo at the Zoo in Memphis. We loved it so much we wanted to make it a tradition! At least going to whatever zoo were closest to. We were very excited to find out that the Nashville Zoo had Ghouls at Grassmere each year.
The Saturday night before Halloween we packed some sandwiches, our trick or treat bags and Paul's costume (which can't be worn in the car seat due to the big tail!) and headed down I-65 for the zoo. We were almost there when we realized traffic was majorly backed up around the entrance. The last tenth of a mile took forever! So many people were also going to the zoo. Luckily their parking lot resembles a Disney park lot so once we were in parking was no problem. The weather was beautiful and just the right temperature! This time of year the weather seems to vary a lot. We were glad it wasn't too hot or too cold.
We had to wait in a pretty long line for tickets once we had parked and dressed Paul. Unfortunately we had not pre-ordered tickets and had to wait in the long line, but it went quick, mostly because it was so fun checking out everyone's costumes! We saw another dinosaur; lots of Elsa's, a few Anna's and a coupl Olaf's; a Star Wars family or two.

Paul spotted Elsa a few people away in line. He tried to go say hi a few times but she never noticed him. He's friendly but often ignored, poor kid.

As we were leaving I spotted an animal meet and greet and had to jump in line. Paul got to pet a skunk and we saw a turkey vulture up close.
We had a wonderful night! Paul has been talking about it for weeks. I accidentally caught his leg in the zipper and he was telling everyone all about it at the library that week. But mostly he talked about how he was 'Buddy the dinosaur from
Dinosaur Train'. He was so proud!
