Beach Days

We were so lucky to have two beach days with Julie, Lily and Laurel!  Of course, the first day was cloudy but perfect.  All the kids were happy and playing and we made wonderful memories and even some great pictures!  Our luck ran out and on our second trip, while it was bright and sunny, Paul was sicker than I realized and didn't want to do anything but lay with me.  As soon as we got there, he pulled his hat over his face and wouldn't move.  It was so sad.  I felt bad for dragging him out there but we had thought he felt good enough and didn't want to miss out spending time with Julie.

I forgot to bring a change of clothes, so Paul had to ride home wearing just his diaper.  I don't think he minded, though!

This last picture is the only one I got on our second beach day.  You can tell Paul is feeling bad but he hung in there.  We didn't stay too long, but on the way home we stopped to have lunch with Uncle Jeremy!  We had a great time with him, but were sad we didn't get to spend more time with him and see Flavia.  Spending several days sick in Pensacola put a damper on some of our plans.
